Choosing the size of your cremation urn. Unless ordered otherwise, our standard cremation urns will accommodate the cremated remains of a person up to 220 pounds.  The standard for identifying necessary Urn volume is fairly simple; for each pound of weight prior to cremation we assume 1 cubic inch of needed volume.  For example; a person who weighed 110 pounds prior to cremation would need approximately 110 cubic inches of needed volume in their Urn.  If your needs are different, we are happy to adjust the size of your Urn. 

Decreases in capacity are done at your request for no charge and are done on a percentage of volume basis when compared to the standard: eg. to accommodate cremated remains of a 110 pound person, we would adjust the internal volume down by approx. 50% (we slightly err to the large side of the equation).  If there is a request to enlarge the standard volume the proportional surcharge is 10% per 10% increase from the standard size.
